From the cliffs of Slea Head to the sweeping views of the Great Blasket Island, there’s plenty to enjoy. Keep an eye out for wildlife, seals often lounge on the beach, seabirds swoop overhead, and other wildlife appears depending on the season. Sightings aren’t guaranteed, but they’re always a highlight.

What You’ll See on the Blasket Islands Boat Tour

As we leave Dingle Pier, the Atlantic opens up ahead. Sit back, enjoy the gentle movement of the boat, and take photos to remember the trip. Highlights include: 

  • Slea Head Coastline – Dramatic cliffs, hidden coves, and open views of some of Ireland’s most beautiful coastline. 
  • Great Blasket Island – Spectacular views from the water, with history and stories shared by our guides. 
  • Wildlife sightings – The Great Blasket Island is home to Ireland’s largest grey seal colony! Dolphins (including different species) and seabirds are also regularly spotted along this stretch of coast. Depending on the season, we’ve also been lucky to encounter minke whales, humpback whales, fin whales, tuna, sunfish, basking sharks and even orcas. You never quite know what might appear, that’s part of the adventure. 
  • Little bits of Dingle life – Our crew point out their favourite spots and share stories of life on the coast, giving you a fresh perspective from the water.  

Please note: Wildlife is wild, and sightings can never be guaranteed. Every trip is shaped by nature, giving you the chance to see marine life in its natural environment. Also note that this tour does not land on the island.
